I’am currently on the come down after visiting the beautiful city of Paris. A crazily busy week of exploring the Parisian streets full of extremely expensive designer stores and admiring STUNNING French buildings….in the freezing February weather.
With complete freedom of the city, I was a little daunted by the idea of tackling the busy capital’s metros at all points of the day, but after a few goes, it became second nature and I really began to feel like a proper city girl in a fashion capital. However, I was probably more daunted by the decision of what to wear each day…I felt a lot of pressure to look good whilst walking the streets of Paris, especially just before Paris Fashion Week.
For the majority of the trip, I wore my much loved trainers because of the amount of walking and I’m so glad I did; I managed to avoid death by feet!
First was a visit to Montmartre. 130 metres high looking out onto Paris next to a beautiful cathedral; it was the perfect location for picture time.
The next day, we visited Premiere Vision; a fashion event attended by buyers from fashion brands all around the world, shopping and researching for S/S17 trends. It was incredibly interesting to see future fabrics and style focuses ahead of mainstream audiences. A little insight for you: it’s looking good! We then fled to do some further exploring and visited the iconic Louvre, which was surrounded by some of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen!
Jacket: New Look.
High Neck Top: River Island.
On the final day in Paris, I was extremely lucky enough to visit the stunning Palace of Versailles. It is such an incredibly beautiful place and to top it off; it snowed. Magical.
Scarf: River Island.
Unfortunatley I did have to repeat some elements of my outfits-due to space issues in my suitcase…
Whilst exploring Paris, we also visited some seriously lush designer stores, such as Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Moschino and Chanel. Walking in was like walking into a different world. A very clean, crisp and crazily expensive world…
It was a great, exhausting week and I saw a side of Paris more beautiful then I’ve ever seen. I definitley felt amongst the greatness of the fashion capital. Paris: merci.
